The JustPeace Lab is conceived as a decentralised, net-based think tank, publication, and training facility.
Besides boosting the Alliance and the Hubs with innovative ideas, the Lab also offers training and consultancy services, and collaborates with academia.
The Lab carries out studies and enables exchange with think tanks, research institutions and inspiring personalities. The Lab shares its findings online without access restrictions.
INNOVATION
We need better solutions for building peaceful, just, and secure societies. JustPeace wants to explore, pilot, and scale new technologies, tools, and practices. Our Lab is the place for practitioners, analysts, and other experts to discuss and develop their ideas.
Our Hubs and Alliance members will pick up solutions that can take forward their work, and include them in their programming.
TRAINING
Regardless of a person’s role or whether they work on conflict and fragile statehood, specialised knowledge is essential. However, most of them have never studied the basic structures, processes, instruments, and challenges of their respective fields.
Our experts teach courses in mediation and dialogue, rule of law and access to justice, transitional justice, security sector governance, and other related themes.
CONSULTANCY
The JustPeace Lab is able to provide high quality analyses and studies in a large variety of conflict-related thematic areas.
We offer context analyses, feasibility studies, and scientific research.
We build our interdisciplinary teams in a way that best serves the purpose. The JustPeace network includes experts with rare regional or thematic specialisation.
